Patient 462 year old female who lost more than 100 lbs. after bariatric surgery (gastric bypass), and had a severe excess of lower abdominal skin with irritation from folding and rubbing (called a "pannus"). Her belly button was stretched and extremely deep, making it impossible for her to maintain proper hygiene. The procedure she requested was removal of the excess skin and fat ("panniculectomy") and removal of the belly button to simplify her skin care. The patient had a small scar in the upper tummy from her previous bariatric surgery identified by the first arrow in the BEFORE picture. The AFTER photo shows has much lower the scar was moved from the skin tightening. |
Patient 3 - Posterior Body LiftPRE-OP "This post-bariatric weight loss patient had previous tummy tuck, but wished to correct the excess skin and fat around the waistline in the back." POST-OP "Early photo after surgery with dramatic improvement. The incision is expected to fade in this patient and become less visible." |
